Installation & Setup Guide

The plugin is compiled for Houdini 17.0 and will not work with other major versions of Houdini. Intel Iris Graphics are not supported. It requires an internet connection to communicate with the licensing server.


After downloading the files for the selected build you will need to place the plug-in and HDAs in the correct directories otherwise Houdini will be able to find them. See below to learn how to do this on your platform.


Windows

Place the plug-in file named PSEUDO_fluid_solver_core.dll in your Houdini preferences directory like this.

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\houdini17.0\dso

Place the HDA files named PSEUDO_fluid_solver.hda & PSEUDO_fluid_source.hda in your Houdini preferences directory like this.

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\houdini17.0\otls

If the directories do not exist please create them.


macOS

Place the plug-in file named PSEUDO_fluid_solver_core.dylib in your Houdini preferences directory like this.

/⁨Users⁩/⁨USERNAME/⁨Library⁩/Preferences⁩/⁨houdini⁩/17.0⁩/dso

Place the HDA files named PSEUDO_fluid_solver.hda & PSEUDO_fluid_source.hda in your Houdini preferences directory like this.

/⁨Users⁩/⁨USERNAME/⁨Library⁩/Preferences⁩/⁨houdini⁩/17.0⁩/otls

If the directories do not exist please create them.


Linux
